The new Bruce Power Offices in Saugeen Shores will be open by months end.
As we first reported in June, there are so many people working at the nuclear generating station in Tiveron, office space is needed to accommodate all of its workers.
Media Spokesperson Steve Cannon says the 35 people will be positioned in the former EMA grocery store at the south end of Port Elgin.
The new office, can accommodate as many as 70 people, and will be home to project managers, planners, estimators, engineers and clerical workers.
Cannon says last month, Bruce Power announced it will focus on the refurbishment of its remaining Bruce A and B units in order to supply Ontario with 63 hundred megawatts of electricity.
Refurbishing its remaining units could create up to three thousand construction jobs and represent a multi-billion dollar investment over the next 10 years.
He says this will give them a place to work on those plans.
Already, Bruce Power rents out space in the business park in the north end of town for those who are not needed directly on site.
