Owen Sound is upping its number of Goods Exchange Days next year to three.
Council has endorsed the recommendation by the city’s Environmental and Waste Advisory Committee.
Right now there are two days when residents can put their ‘junk’ on the curb — one in April, another scheduled for September 26th.
Next year..the additional one will be held in July.
Councillor Bill Twaddle says the event is always a popular one with residents.
The city is hoping that with one extra goods exchange day — more unwanted items will be picked up from the curb — discouraging home owners from leaving them outside for weeks.
