Unit 8 at Bruce Power in Tiverton is off line.
Media Spokesperson Steve Cannon says it was taken off line yesterday to allow workers to perform maintenance on the liquid zone control system.
It’s expected to be off line for a very brief time.
Meanwhile, Unit 7 remains off line for an outage that started July 30th.
It was taken off line because of a surplus of power – compared to demand for it.
It too is expected to be back in operation very shortly.
