Talks are underway that could see a dog park set up in Ripley.
Huron-Kinloss Township staff have been talking with Luiza Small — the citizen who suggested the park and the Ripley Agricultural Society — about possibly accomadating the dog park in the area behind the community centre.
The fenced area could serve the needs of the dog park and those of the agricultural society for cattle.
A presentation on the issue could be made to council in the near future.
Mayor Mitch Twolan says the agricultural society is somewhat interested, and so is the municipality.
He adds that talks are still preliminary and council is waiting for more information.
