An agreement has been made in a Barrie courtroom between both sides fighting over the future of the Site 41 landfill.
The interim injunction is staying in place until the end of court proceedings.
Simcoe County says it’s happy with the settlement.
The Council of Canadians says the agreement provides a chance for there to be more questions answered at the upcoming Simcoe County council meeting on August 25th.
Chair Maude Barlow says this means County councillors will have a chance to vote on a one year moratorium on the landfill, and dropping the charges against Site 41 protestors.
A rally for a Site 41 moratorium drew in 500 people Thursday night in Toronto.
