Cape Croker Indian Park is a busy place today.
It’s the location of the 26th annual Cape Croker Powwow.
The event put on by the Chippewa’s of Newash runs from noon until 8 PM and will be followed by a fireworks display.
The theme this year is “honour our veterans and elders.”
The main event will be the grand entry at 7 PM, which is a parade of drummers and dancers in traditional outfits.
There are also vendors on site selling handmade jewelry and clothing.
