The Historic Saugeen Metis Summer Rendezvous is today.
It takes place at Pioneer park at the south side of the Saugeen river near “Aunt Annie’s” in Southampton.
A community reunion, BBQ and registration begins at 12:30 PM and wraps up at 3:30 PM.
The public is welcome to attend after 4 PM until 5:30 PM to celebrate with the Metis; bring a lawn chair.
Entertainment includes fiddle music featuring master Fiddler Shane Cook.
An alocohol ban is in effect for this event.
