Fifteen years of Thursday Cruiser Nights in Southampton each summer has raised a pile of cash for the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Organizer Gary Brown says as of last Thursday — through token entry fees from those display their cars, along with sales from 50-50 tickets and door prizes, the event reached the 150 thousand dollar mark in donations.
Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation Chair Brian Wakelin says the money during the past 15-years has been used to buy important equipment for the Southampton hospital.
Tonight — a special celebration will be held to thank Brown, sponsors and the participating car owners for a job well done.
Everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy the classic cars, along with some celebration cake.
Cruiser Nights go every Thursday night, weather permitting, at the foot of High Street in Southampton.
Things get underway at 6 PM.
