Bruce Grey Owen Sound MP Larry Miller wants to address the concerns of Grey County Council.
Miller attended the last County Council meeting on Tuesday August 4th.
Among those was a question of why the federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans concerns itself with matters like culvert replacements that have long been the bailiwick of local conservation authorities.
Chatsworth Mayor Howard Greig says when the DFO does butt in like that, it results in unnecessary delays to such projects.
Miller agrees that such activity would seem to be frivolous and promised to look into specific instances brought to his attention.
Miller was a longtime municipal politician in Georgian Bluffs and the former Keppel Township before moving into the federal arena.
He served as Warden of Grey County in 2002 and says it was the best year of his life.
But Miller enjoys his role now as a liaison between the municipal and federal levels of government.
