It’s not even a long weekend coming up, but Gas Prices have jumped again.
In Owen Sound, prices peaked at a dollar a litre this morning at the Shell station downtown.
It has since fallen back to 99.9 cents a litre.
All gas stations in the Scenic City are pumping gas at over 99 cents a litre — jumping by five cents a litre in one day.
There is a range of prices in Port Elgin today from 93.9 to 99.9 cents a litre.
In Goderich and Wingham the price is around 98 cents.
Wasaga Beach is selling it for 93.9 cents at one station today.
Even prices in the Greater Toronto Area have hit the roof, with most just under 1 dollar a litre.
The only relief seems to be in the Barrie area, where prices are as low as 92.4 cents a litre.
MP Dan McTeague has been fighting price gouging at the pumps by providing daily forecasts on his web site.
In an exclusive interview with Bayshore Broadcasting News, McTeague admits being surprised by the latest hike.
He also says the outlook for gasoline prices the rest of this year is bleak.
