It’s not been proven wind farms are making people sick.
That from Acciona Wind Energy Community Relations Manager Paul Austin.
A new study says there are reports from the Ripley area where people are getting ill and it’s being attributed to the wind turbines.
Austin does not dismiss or minimize their concerns and admits he’s heard the complaints directly; but adds they’ve had a number of investigations over the last year, and have found no proof.
In the study, people living near giant turbines were found to suffer from headaches, sleep disturbances and depression.
Austin says Acciona has just over two hundred operation windfarms in thirteen countries around the world, and have never until now, had such complaints.
That being said, he welcomes an independent study done by the “proper organizations” to conduct a study and make a conclusion one way or another.
