Bluewater Park in Wiarton is very busy this long weekend.
The Wiarton Rotary Village Fair opened last night and festivities run right through to Monday.
The Fair has been ongoing for more than 70 years and features a midway, lots of games of chance, a dunk tank, kids playland, food booths and fireworks on Sunday night.
The Wiarton Volunteer Firefighters are also holding their annual beef barbeque.
The event is the Rotarian’s main fundraiser and there are over 200 volunteers who help.
Member Gay Radcliffe says the money raised from the Fair will go to support local organizations — such as literacy education for adults and children.
Tickets will be also be on the sale for the 20th annual Dream Draw.
Radcliffe says the money raised from the Draw will go towards the purchase of new equipment for the Lions Head and Wiarton hospitals as well as the medical clinics at Sauble Beach and Tobermory.
The prizes for the Dream Draw include a new car, ATV, barbecue and cash.
Tickets are available all weekend at the fair and the draw is Monday night at the fair.
