A California man is back in court tomorrow in connection with a 30 year old murder case that has connections to Sauble Beach.
57 year old Douglas Gordon Bradford of Costa Mesa, California appeared in Court last month where he pleaded not guilty to a charge of murder.
Bradford is out on one million dollars bail and his lawyer is reportedly well known Attorney Robert Shapiro — whose clients included O-J Simpson.
Back in August of 1979 — 28 year old Lynne Knight was found in in her apartment in Torrence, California — a suburb of Los Angeles — after having been stabbed more than 15 times and strangled.
Knight was born in Alberta but grew up in Stratford, Ontario and graduated from the St. Thomas-Elgin School of Nursing.
Shortly after graduation she moved to California and briefly dated Bradford in 1979.
Her father, 78 year old Clair Knight now lives in Sauble Beach.
He moved to the area in 1990 — and plans to go to the trial in California once it gets to that stage.
