The cleanup underway in Collingwood today, after the wrap-up of the annual Elvis Festival.
Tribute artist Thane Dunn of New Brunswick will represent Collingwood in Memphis at the international competition there.
Dunn was this year’s overall winner, and also the winner of the concert years performance.
Chris Ayotte won the early years portion of the competition, and former overall winner Jay Zanier won this year’s gospel competiton.
Thousands of people attended the Elvis festivities in Collingwood over the weekend.
There were more than 130 Elvis impersonators with their slicked hair and baritone voices.
The rain didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of fans attending the main event — the tribute artist competition.
Elvis wannabes in sequined jumpsuits came from as far away as Australia and Switzerland to compete.
