Two John Diefenbaker Secondary School students are award winning budding entrepreneurs.
Alex Neuman and Kyle Wilkinson won awards for business plans created for the Grey Bruce Secondary School Business Plan Competition.
It was put on in partnership with the Saugeen Shores Business Enterprise Centre and the Business Enterprise Centre – Owen Sound and Area.
Neuman won first prize for his plan “Hire a Grandson” which he currently operates in the Durham area and received 750 dollars for his efforts.
He offers extensive home maintenance service at an affordable cost, with seniors as the main target market
Neuman now becomes a finalist in the Regional Competition and could advance to the Provincials.
Wilkinson meanwhile, won second for his plan “Wii For Fun” and received a cheque for five hundred dollars.
The two along with all fifteen other participants in the contest, were recently recognized at the Bluewater District School Board administration building in Chesley.
