The level of taxes not being paid in Huron-Kinloss is slightly up again.
Stats show over 558 thousand dollars — or 5.3 per cent of the total 2008 tax levy — are unpaid.
Treasurer Jodi MacArthur says the recession is likely a factor.
But she is confident the current ratio is still an acceptable one.
MacArthur notes at this time last year, the amount of tax arrears were in the same range at just under 532 thousand dollars — which is equal to 5.27 per cent.
