There is a special ceremony today at the new Bruce Peninsula OPP office.
The detachment is holding its grand opening at 1:30 PM.
A number of special guests will be on hand — including OPP Commissioner Julian Fantino and Deputy Minister of Community Safety John Burke.
Local police officers moved into the new larger office on Highway 6 just south of Wiarton in February.
Constable Dave Meyer says the new office building is six times larger than the old office where their staff were crammed.
The new office houses 40 police and civilian staff and a 10 member auxiliary police unit.
Residents will be able to tour the new office today and see different displays on tactical and canine units, forensic evidence and the OPP helicopter.
