Construction continues on a new development in Walkerton.
The project includes 25 rental townhouse units geared to seniors and 35 single detached residential homes just west of the Walkerton Community Centre.
Walkerton developer Jim Spitzig says the project is a long time coming — both he and his wife Nancy took ownership of the land in December of 2004.
Council approved the zoning amendments in the Spring to allow the project to proceed.
Spitzig says they started work on the senior townhouses and then the single detached dwellings.
