A 32 year old Mount Forest woman has been arrested by the RCMP on fraud charges.
Yvonne deBruyn-Bramhill was charged Tuesday (July 14th ’09) following an investigation by the London RCMP and the Wingham Police services.
From 2003-2008, while she was an employee of Wescast Industries in Wingham, it is alleged deBruyn-Bramhill defrauded her employer of over $400,000 by diverting corporate funds into her personal accounts including bank accounts, Canada Savings Bonds Accounts and RRSP Accounts.
Investigating officer Constable Fred Gutz tells Bayshore Broadcasting news that deBruyn-Bramhill was in the Payroll department at Wescast.
Wingham police were asked to investigate in January, and they called in the RCMP to take over the probe.
RCMP Sergeant Roger Crawley says “Fraud of this nature causes economic hardship for companies and affects everyone in the community. We take this type of offence very seriously.”
Yvonne deBruyn-Bramhill is scheduled to appear in court in Wingham on September 17th.
