A 19 year old Dundalk man will stand trial on a charge of 1st degree murder.
Derek Gauvin was committed to stand trial in Superior court, when his preliminary hearing wrapped up Thursday.
A publication ban was put on evidence heard at the hearing.
Gauvin was also remanded back into custody until his case comes up this fall.
Gauvin is charged in the death of 79 year old Leonard Perrault of Dundalk, who was found dead in his own apartment last November 11st.
The next day, Police arrested the Dundalk teenager who was a neighbour of Perrault.
A post mortem exam concluded the victim died of blunt force trauma.
Derek Gauvin was 18 at the time of his arrest, and he has been in custody since last November.
