Motorcyclists are taking to the roads in support of the Arthritis Society.
The Grey Bruce chapter of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association is one of the hosts for a fundraising poker run through the Beaver Valley.
Chapter O Member Drew Ferguson says it’s a spectacular 175 kilometre run, perhaps one of the best motorcycle rides in Grey Bruce.
Ferguson says the vistas are fantastic and all the stops for lunch and your poker cards are at the lookouts along the way.
He says the motorcycle club sponsors a fundraiser every year, and this time around they chose the Arthritis Society.
Ferguson says all the money raised goes to arthritis research and to programs that help local people deal with arthritis.
Last year, 50 riders participated in the event and raised over 63-hundred dollars.
Ferguson says any rider and any style of bike is welcome to join in for a minimum pledge of 30 dollars.
Registration is from 9 AM to 10 AM Saturday morning at the Bluewater Curling Club in Owen Sound.
The motorcycles will then roar out of the parking lot with a police escort to Fox Harley Davidson on Highway 6/10.
After that stop, riders continue at their own pace before meeting back at the Curling Club for prizes.
