It’s day three of the blockade by protesters at the landfill site under construction in Tiny Township.
Native Canadians and others at the site say they’re not going to allow work to continue at the site until the federal government gets involved in debate over the site.
The more than 100 protesters are not getting support from the premier.
At Georgian College yesterday, Premier Dalton McGuinty said the dump can be built without compromising the environment.
McGuinty says he’s relying on experts who tell him that it can be done.
A handful of protesters tried to gain access to the premier on a visit to Barrie yesterday, but they were escorted out of the building by police.
