Protestors are rallying at Site 41 in Tiny Township today.
The Council of Canadians is gathering supporters at the Elmvale Arena at 10:30 AM to walk 7 kilometres to the site.
A rally and concert is slated to start at 1 PM at the landfill in Tiny Township.
OPP want drivers to be aware that protestors will be walking along the shoulder of County Road 27 from Elmvale to just west of Baseline Road in Springwater Township between 10 AM and 1 PM.
Police ask drivers to slow down and drive safe.
The demonstrators want to send a strong message to Simcoe County officials to stop construction of the dump and save the nearby water supply.
The landfill is near the Alliston Aquifer which contains what’s been called the purest water supply in the world.
A group of native protestors continues to camp across from the site and they say they won’t leave until construction is stopped.
The campers have been there since mid-May.
