More than 15 thousand people will be visiting the area over the weekend for Big Music Fest at the Wiarton Airfield.
The festival which will feature Canadian rock band The Tragically Hip along with The Sam Roberts Band, Arkells and The Spades is sure to be a safe and fun event this Saturday.
Georgian Bluffs CAO Bill White says their number one goal is to make the concert safe and fun for all ages.
White says to compensate for 15 thousand fans there will be 70 security guards and 50 OPP Officers on site.
He says access to the event will be controlled, with only one entrance off of Concession 21 or Elm Street.
White says you can get to the concert site in various ways.
There will a parking lot for 5 thousand vehicles at the Airfield as well as a drop off at the Wiarton Arena for people coming by bus.
Habitat for Humanity will also be running a shuttle bus from Owen Sound, Sauble Beach and Wiarton right to the Airport for 15 dollars.
White says when the concert is over there will by several officers on site to direct traffic and control movement out of the airport.
Fans are not to bring alcohol, lawn chairs, umbrellas or other sharp objects.
White says you will want to bring things like sunscreen, bug spray and a blanket to sit on.
Food, beverages, portable washrooms and ATM’s will be provided within the site.
White says there will be a beer garden on the property with a limit on the number of drinks served to each person.
The Town of South Bruce Peninsula Mayor Gwen Gilbert thinks the concert is great for the entire area.
Gilbert says she has heard campgrounds and motels are totally sold out for the weekend.
