Work continues on the latest Habitat for Humanity build in Grey Bruce.
The group is constructing four home in Wiarton and Habitat spokesperson Lucy Gowers says the foundations have now been poured and local groups are putting teams together to lend a hand.
She says this year rather than just one or two blitz weekends, groups of volunteers are coming up on an ongoing basis all summer long to construct the homes.
Gowers says this way they are hoping to keep the build in the public eye for most of the build this summer rather than on just one blitz weekend.
Gowers says Bruce Grey Owen Sound MPP Bill Murdoch has a team of 10 people working on the homes today and MP Larry Miller is putting together a team and Green Party official Shane Jolley also considering getting a team to help out.
Gowers says if anyone wants to volunteer they can contact Habitat and then show up at the build location where they can fill out some liability forms then be outfitted with a hard hat and then begin to hammer some nails of move some lumber.
She says the number to call if a person wants to volunteer at the build site, is 519-371-6776.
Habitat hopes to have most of the construction completed by September with the dedication ceremony taking place in early October.
