Patients in Collingwood and the surrounding area will now be able to see specialists in far away area’s without leaving town.
The Georgian Bay Family Health Team just received technology which lets them
videoconference through the Ontario Telemedicine Network.
That means a patient won’t have to drive to see a specialist in Toronto anymore.
Instead they will be able to see and hear the specialist through a computer monitor in real-time.
