A Saugeen Shores Councillor is getting ready to play game show host again.
Fred Schildroth is holding his annual Recycling Contest at tomorrow’s Council meeting.
He says a few years ago, as a member of Bruce Area Solid Waste Recycling’s board, he thought he’d hold a contest among his council colleagues to raise awareness of what should — and shouldn’t go in the blue box.
Schildroth says he tries to hold it when seasonal residents are starting to arrive at their cottages and camps so they know what the municipality does when it comes to recycling.
Schildroth will display items that should and should not go into the blue box and give a presentation on local recycling amounts.
At the end of the meeting, he’ll announce which councillors guessed correctly about what they can or cannot recycle.
