They’re celebrating their 10th year in Owen Sound.
St. Dominique Savio school opened ten years ago for the French speaking students of Grey Bruce.
At that time they were only able to rent space from St. Basil’s school before moving to Bayview a couple of years later.
Then finally in 2003 — they were able to build their own school on 23rd Street East.
They also opened their French Catholic regional High school in 2003 so their students could go on taking their secondary studies in French.
This year they are celebrating the first two students from St. Dominque Savio to graduate from the high school.
To mark the 10th anniversary, the school will be holding presentations and activities at the school from 3 PM until 6 PM — including a BBQ.
Everyone is welcome.
