There’s a new face at the helm of the Hanover and District Hospital Board.
The Board of Directors recently held its election of officers.
Allan Fisher has been acclaimed as the new chair of the Hanover and District Hospital Board.
Fisher — who was the Mayor of Hanover from 1972 to 1985 — is eager to get down to business.
He says the struggling economy and health care staffing shortages are the key challenges ahead.
Fisher says he is fortunate to have a great team of people to help him through the days ahead.
This is not the first time Fisher has held the reins as chair of the Hospital Board.
Over the last 28 years, Fisher has served as a hospital director for 20 years, including three years as chair.
Fisher replaces outgoing chair Bob Graham.
Graham will remain on the Board as a Director and says after three years as Chair — hes looking forward to a quieter role.
