Its been months in the making and organizers are thrilled that its a sell out show.
Dancing for Life will take to the Roxy Theatre today and tomorrow d there isn’t a ticket to be had in town.
The show debuted Friday night and it was a hit.
The brain child of local dance instructor Anne Milne, Dancing for Life is a fundraiser for the Owen Sound’s hospital neo natal unit.
Milne says its a cause near and dear to her heart after she had a premature baby in 2007.
She says each monitor costs 15 thousand dollars and so far the event has raised enough money for one — they’re now working on a second.
The local version of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ involves eight local ‘celebrities’ including Mayor Ruth Lovell Stanners, Jeff Ferris of Nathaniel’s restaurant, Michael Todd of Stone Tree Golf Club and Bayshore Broadcasting’s own Rebecca MacVicor who have been rehearsing their parts for months.
The show also involves more than 60 Anne Milne dancing students.
And for those of you wanting to contribute to the neo natal unit but couldn’t get a ticket — a special Dancing for Life account has been set up at the Bank of Montreal.
And the show will also be broadcast throughout the summer on Rogers Cable.
