A Williamsford woman is dead after a collision between a car and a dump truck.
The crash occurred at Grey Road 16 and Concession 7 between Chatsworth and Keady around 9:45 PM Thursday.
The driver of the car — 23 year old Rebecca Nuhn of Williamsford — was pronounced dead at the scene.
OPP Constable Drew Wilder says it appears the southbound vehicle entered the intersection and was hit by the westbound dump truck.
The intersection is controlled by stop signs and a flashing red light.
Wilder tells Bayshore Broadcasting News a post mortem has been ordered to help determine why the vehicle entered the intersection.
The 33 year old truck driver — Andrew Black of Georgian Bluffs — sustained minor injuries.
County Road 16 was closed for several hours as OPP technical collision officers investigated what had happened.
The Ministry of the Environment also attended due to engine fluids that leaked from the dump truck.
Wilder says there were no environmental concerns.
Police are appealing to witnesses to come forward.
