The Bluewater District School Boards 2009 budget is almost done.
The Board managed to accomplish their task of cutting over 4 million dollars in expenses after yesterdays three hour meeting.
The balanced budget will see the Board spend 187 million dollars.
Chair Jennifer Yenssen says they took the shave approach in making the cuts..
She says a major cut was made to staff development but overall they made small cuts to every area of the budget.
Yenssen says the Trustees wanted more detailed information from each department.
She says it required staff to do more work in getting that kind of information.
Yenssen says Trustees will be going over the budget one last time before putting it up for a vote next Monday afternoon at 1 PM.
She says there will be some discussion as to where funds should be allocated.
She says some of the Trustees wanted to know if there is a possibility in allowing teachers to support other teachers in their work.
The budget is due to the Ministry of Education by June 30th for approval.
