Drivers beware, a 24 hour blitz targeting aggressive commercial drivers is underway.
The Ontario Provincial Police, Ministry of Transportation and Municipal and Regional Police Services across the Province will be working together in the province wide initiative.
“Operation Corridor” is an annual border-to-border highway safety initative that focuses on high police visibility, enforcement and education opportunities.
Chief Superintendent Bill Grodzinski says, “road safety on all our highways is an OPP priority.”
OPP officers will also be working with inspectors from the MTO and the Ministry of the Environment performing commercial vehicles inspections to identify unsafe vehicles and those not meeting emission standards.
