The piping plover chicks at Beach Area 1 in Wasaga Beach are up and running around.
Plover Coordinator Kim Jaxa-Dibicki says the chicks have lots of energy, and they’ve moved outside the small fence.
She says the eggs in the other nest shouldn’t be hatching until the end of June.
Jaxa-Dibicki also reminds people to keep a watchful eye when they are down at the beach for the birds, just in case.
