Its their biggest fundraiser of the year.
The Owen Sound Animal Shelter is holding its 2nd annual Mutt Strutt tomorrow at Grey Sauble Conservation Area.
Its part of their 10th anniversary celebration.
Spokesperson Renee Robins says they had such a great turn out for the dog walking event last year — they’ve set a very high bar.
She says last year they collected 10 thousand dollars to set up their surgical room.
This year Robins says they’re hoping to at least come close to that.
Participants with pledge forms can strutt their mutts along the hiking trails from 9 AM until 12 Noon Sunday.
Plenty of prizes including Tragically Hip concert tickets for the Wiarton show, a helicopter ride and various restaurant gift certificates.
The shelter will also be holding a fundraising BBQ.
For more information on the event go to the shelter’s website or call them at (519) 372-1123.
