One of 4 contenders for the top job in the Ontario conservative party was glad-handing her way around Owen Sound last night.
Christine Elliott met with local party members at Tuscany’s Catering and Banquet Hall, in an event hosted by Bruce Grey Owen Sound MPP Bill Murdoch.
Elliott is the MPP for Whitby-Oshawa, and is hoping to replace John Tory as Progessive Conservative leader in the province.
The MPP tells Bayshore broadcasting News she can understand rural issues because part of her riding is rural.
New polls show Christine Elliott in the lead among people questioned, but she says it’s not over until the vote on June 27th, for a new Conservative leader.
There are 4 candidates in the running to take over as Tory leader, Christine Elliott, Tim Hudak, Randy Hillier, and Frank Klees.
