The work of future videographers, artists and writers will be featured in at Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre.
It’s the 3rd annual End of Year Showcase put on by the communication students at Saugeen District Secondary School.
Instructor Allan Walker says close to 100 students from grades 10 to 12, along with the school’s Comm-Tech club will present their audio-visual productions.
Walker says this year the group worked with the Grey Bruce Health Unit developing public service messages on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome disorder.
He says he believes the work is very sincere and and he finds the student work has become incredibly sophisticated because of exposure to such things as You Tube and even video games.
The year’s work is being presented tonight at the Bruce Power Theatre in the museum in Southampton.
Doors open at 6:30 PM with the first video shown at 7 PM.
Tickets are ten-dollars and can be purchased at the door or at SDSS.
Walker says the Bruce Power Theatre is an excellent venue to show the works because of the video and sound system offered there, along with comfortable seating for the audience.
Walker says there is nothing like students sitting with their friends, parents and peers to watch their work.
