Bill’s Valu Mart in Meaford is doing its part to help the local hospital.
Owner/operator Bill MacDonald says their current fundraising campaign is called ‘Give a little – Help alot” and involves customers adding a twoonie to their grocery bill.
MacDonald says their name goes on the paper icon and goes up on the store wall.
Its an initiative from Loblaw’s Head Office but he says it was designed to help the “little guys”…who generally don’t get a lot out of national fundraising efforts.
MacDonald says his store was permitted to decide where the money would go.
He says they set a goal of 15 hundred dollars and were almost there already on the weekend.
The campaign wraps up on Saturday.
