The Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run is making its way through our region.
Saugeen Shores Police Officers will be running to raise money for Special Olympics starting at 9 AM this morning from the flag pole in Southampton to the town hall.
Officers will then find officers in Port Elgin at 9:30 AM where they will run from the cinema to Ralph’s Hi-way Shoppette.
At 10:30 AM — South Bruce OPP will host the run in Kincardine — from Quinn Plaza on Queen Street to Victoria Park.
OPP will then continue the run in Walkerton around 11:30 AM from the Beer Store on Durham Street and wrap up on Jackson Street at the Jubilee Hall.
There will also be a Special Olympics Torch Run in Thornbury and Collingwood.
OPP officers will arrive in Thornbury at 3:30 PM and then in Collingwood at 4 PM.
All funds raised through Torch Run events are aimed at program support that directly affects all community-based Special Olympics activities.
