Updating a story we told you about — the meeting between Wasaga Beach Mayor Cal Patterson and officials with the Ministry of Transportation.
Patterson travelled to Queen’s Park last week for the meeting on the Highway 26 realignment project — which he called long overdue.
He says there is very good news about the project.
Patterson says the meeting was very positive with the ministry officials, but he says he can’t give much more information than that.
He says there will be a public meeting on June 23rd to provide residents with an update on the design and possibly a timeline.
Work on the widening and moving the highway was stopped following the provincial election in 2004 that brought the Liberals under Dalton McGuinty to power.
