An Owen Sound man is facing charges after a crash near the downtown.
Police say just before 4 PM Monday, the man was driving his car south on 3rd Avenue East when he stopped at the intersection with 6th Street.
He then proceeded through the intersection, and hit a motorcycle.
The motorcycle’s driver was thrown off and his machine skidded about 50 feet.
Police say two witnesses with first aid training quickly came to the aid of the motorcyclist until emergency crews arrived.
The 22 year old was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The driver of the car, a 53-year-old Owen Sound man, was charged with Failing to Yield to Through Traffic.
The intersection of 6th Street and 3rd Avenue East was shut down for approximately an hour and a half.
