The Bluewater District School Board is celebrating the dozens of public agencies and private businesses that help it provide various learning and service opportunities for students.
A reception honouring them was recently held at the board office in Chesley.
The agencies and businesses are involved with providing on the job experience for students as well as career and post-secondary learning opportunities.
They include all sectors of the local economy as well as government.
Director of Education Mary Anne Alton says the partners include those involved with the Specialist High Skills Major program, the health unit, police services Canadian Parents for French, and the Children’s Alliance.
Alton says it’s a partnership event to recognize those who support student learning in a variety of ways.
Alton says Bluewater isn’t necessarily rich in financial resources, but it is in human resources because of the people in Bruce and Grey who work hard to support learning.
