Grey County OPP have laid another charge against a Big Bay man who’s already facing charges in connection with the death of a young girl.
51 year old Ronald Smith is now facing a charge related to a sexual assault allegedly committed 9 years ago.
Police say the alleged victim was 16 at the time and came forward when she heard a plea from police for more information on the accused.
Smith remains in custody after being charged last month with criminal negligence causing death, sexual assault, sexual interference and four counts of trafficking a controlled substance.
A 16 year old girl, who cannot be identified under a court order died after emergency crews responded to a medical call at Smith’s Georgian Bluffs home May 17th.
Police say the case also involves another young girl who cannot be identified.
Investigators are still asking the public to come forward if they have any further information pertinent to the case.
