The film is about being green, and it will be on the screen Friday evening in Southampton.
Ottawa-based sustainability advocate David Chernushenko will be at the Bruce County Museum to show his film, Be the Change; Uplifiting Stories of Real People Living Lightly — And Loving it.
Saugeen Shores Councillor Victoria Serda, herself a major advocate for sustainability says Chernushenko is Vice Chair of the National Roundtable on the Environmental Economy and will be available to answer audience questions.
Serda says Chernushenko has past political involvement as Deputy Leader of the federal Green Party and has written books about greening the Olympics.
In 2004, he was the party’s candidate in the riding of Ottawa Centre, running against former NDP leader Ed Broadbent.
She says in recent years, Chernushenko has moved away from politics and has focused more on showing people ways of living more sustainably.
The film starts at 7 PM on Friday evening at the Bruce County Museum.
Admission is 20 dollars.
Tickets are available at the Saugeen Sustainability Centre and more information is available by calling 519-832-2546.
