Workers with Community Living Kincardine have ratified a new two-year contract.
The 43 members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees have approved a two-year deal that includes a flat rate wage increase of 50 cents per hour each year.
CUPE National Representative Jim Keenan says no concessions were made in reaching the deal and some of the wording of the contract was improved.
Keenan says two year contracts are not common, but it was agreed upon to use that time frame in the community living sector.
Keenan says under the new contract, chiropractic and massage therapy benefit coverage for workers was also increased to 750 dollars in the second year.
