Owen Sound residents will be able to see what the new 9th Street East bridge will look like.
There will be 3 concepts unveiled at a public meeting on June 17th at Owen Sound City Hall.
All 3 options will feature a two-lane bridge for vehicles and two multi-purpose lanes for pedestrians and bicycles.
Director of Operations John Johnston says they would like to gather input from the public on those designs.
He says they will listen to the public on some of the options like how wide the bridge should be.
He says they will then take that information and bring it to Council for a final decision.
Johnston says the City wants a bridge that will be strong, last a long time, and will handle the amount of traffic that goes through it.
He says from a heritage and esthetic standpoint they would like to leave that up to the public and Council.
