Women will be encouraged to play a role in politics today.
There’s a special session in Collingwood where women in politics will speak about their work and encourage other woman to do the same.
It begins at 1 PM at the Collingwood Curling Club.
Blue Mountains Mayor Ellen Anderson as well as the Mayor of Brampton Susan Fennell will be the guest speakers.
There will also be a message from Simcoe Grey MP Helena Guergis.
The message will be women should consider a role in municipal advisory committees or municipal government.
The goal is to increase participation of women in government.
