A kick off is being held today for the fund raising campaign in Chesley as organizers raise money for an expansion to the medical clinic.
They hope to raise half a million dollars over the next year, and get shovels in the ground next spring for construction on the project.
Fund raising spokesperson Jennifer Isber-Legge says some 80 volunteers will soon be going door to door raising money for the project.
Before they get going, organizers wanted to get things going with a motivational speaker… and an outline of all the fund raising events planned.
It is being held at the Klages Mill in Chesley beginning at 2 this afternoon.
Isber-Legge says now that they are part of the Brockton and Area Family health team — they need this medical clinic expansion so they can add new health care professionals and perhaps even a new doctor in Chesley.
She says they have had a number of big donations, and several groups are organizing fund raising events to help out over the next few months.
