Provincial Police have finished adding up the figures from their weekend blitz.
This was the safest Victoria Day long weekend in the past five years according to the OPP.
There were no fatalities on trails and waterways.
Two people were killed in collisions on highways patrolled by provincial police.
That is down from five last year (2008).
The amount of charges laid was still high.
Officers dished out close to six thousand speeding charges, 468 seatbelt charges and 162 impaired driving charges.
Police also charged 146 drivers under the street racing law.
Those drivers had their licenses and vehicles seized on the spot.
According to OPP figures, this was the safest Victoria Day long weekend in the past five years here in Ontario.
