We’re hearing a lot about how safe our roadways were during the Victoria Day Holiday Weekend.
It appears people were also safe on the water.
On Sunday, May 17th — Saugeen Shores police, along with the OPP and the ministry of natural resources were out at the annual River Run down the Saugeen River.
Several warnings and one charge was given under the liquor licence act.
Police Chief Dan Rivett says people though, are getting smarter as time goes on and wearing life vests while on the water.
Police will continue to enforce small vessel regulations and liquor offences for this event.
